The Scottish Government has clearly stated that “Scotland Needs More Homes” and in order to meet this need more developments are required. We want to be part of the solution by helping as many sites as possible get zoned for housing and ultimately making our landowners money from their sale.
We achieve this by identifying sites likely to meet each local authorities planning criteria and working closely with our planning partners to gain residential planning consent. We have a successful history working with local planning authorities in both the Residential and Renewable sectors and we aim to use that expertise to help push our landowner‘s land through planning and maximising profit.
The Company also intends to align each Residential Site with recent Government policy on energy efficiency. A stated key aim for the Scottish Government is the decarbonising of heat supply, making energy more affordable and reducing carbon emissions from the built-up environment. Improved energy efficiency helps households to have more control over their fuel bills, which will contribute to tackling fuel poverty through reduced costs and achieve improvement benefits through people having warmer homes.
The Company will develop a strategy for sustainable housing in Scotland to put people at the heart of how it creates sustainable communities for the long-term and helps to meet our climate change targets.
The Company will promote excellence in the design of new housing which contributes to the creation of sustainable places and neighbourhoods which are low carbon and energy efficient, and which will also hopefully provide a safe and stimulating environment for young people to grow up in.
The management team of the Group is using their experience from the past eight years working in the renewable energy sector to find innovative solutions for all their projects.
The Group will focus on each of these elements in its own strategy as it endeavours to help build eco-friendly, well designed and affordable homes, which will in turn create and strengthen communities, improve standards of living and benefit the local economy.
