Rachel Reeves’ recent speech on the need for economic growth that is  compatible with environmental objectives was extremely welcome. Now it has to be turned into reality and Scotland can offer an immediate opportunity to deliver on both outcomes.

The UK stands at a crucial junction in its energy and economic future. On one track, we have Clean Power 2030 (CP30), the Government’s ambitious plan to fully decarbonise Britain’s electricity grid by 2030. On the other, we have Ms Reeves’s growth strategy, which prioritises infrastructure, job creation, and investment to drive long-term prosperity.
